\n\nAmerican intelligence formerly alleged that a Singapore-based data centre company, Megaspeed, was smuggling Nvidia chips to China.
\n\nNow, they have reportedly found that one executive of Megaspeed is not only a Chinese intelligence asset but has developed a close relationship to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
\n\nAccording to The New York Times (NYT), Megaspeed executive Alice Huang, or Huang Le, a Chinese citizen, has been seen together with Jensen Huang multiple times over the past two years.
\n\nU.S. surveillance has allegedly confirmed that the two are in close contact.
\n\nThey share the same surname but are unrelated.
\n\nThe U.S. believes that this is part of a plot to obtain sensitive information from Jensen Huang, who is not only an influential tech leader but a close associate of U.S. President Donald Trump, fearing that Trump's stances on key tech and AI issues may be leaked to China.
