NParks found that the man is a community cat caregiver.
\n\nA man was filmed picking up a community cat and attempting to place it in a carrier in the boot of a car at Joo Seng Road.
\n\nThe incident first came to light after a video was posted on the Facebook group Sayang Our Singapore's Community Cats on Sep. 5.
\n\nThe video expressed concern about the man's actions, with users in the comments section berating the cameraperson for not intervening.
\n\nHowever, according to the National Parks Board (NParks), the man is a community cat caregiver who was trying to bring the cat to a veterinary clinic.
\n\nIn the video, a man dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts can be seen crouching down on a grass patch at an open-air car park.
\n\nHe is later seen picking the cat up and carrying it to a car with its boot open.
\n\nHe then appears to attempt to place the cat into a carrier in the boot.
\n\nThe cat can be seen struggling as the man tries to put it inside.
\n\nAccording to the video's caption, the incident allegedly took place at Block 14 Joo Seng Road.
