A constitutional crisis broke out in Warsaw on Friday evening as politicians reportedly physically clashed at the offices of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal amid accusations of a “coup d’etat” by the globalist government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
\n\nA longstanding struggle for control over the Polish judiciary came to a head on Friday as Prime Minister Tusk’s government sought to forcibly appoint judges to the Constitutional Tribunal (TK) and replace its chief Bogdan Święczkowski.
\n\nWhile appointees to the court must be approved by President Karol Nawrocki, the conservative politician who is aligned with the former Law and Justice (PiS) government has so far refused to swear in any of Tusk’s picks. Thus, the prime minister, in a supposed bid to restore the rule of law, has sought to circumvent the law and appoint judges through the parliament, having the speaker of the Sejm swear in his selections.
\n\nOne such appointee, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska announced that she would be dismissing the head of the Tribunal Bogdan Święczkowski and his Bartłomiej Sochański, as she attempted to take control over the body.
